In February 2005, over Presidents Day weekend, players from the White and Green team traveled to Las Vegas for the Silver Mug Invitational. At the end of five games, played over three days, HPU had won four and tied one and had the most points out of the 48 teams participating to incredibly be seeded number one for the tournament playoffs. Only champions from leagues throughout the central and western states play in this tournament. After returning to Honolulu, the White Team finished the Spring 05 seasons as Champions with a record of 12-1-1.
In addition to winning the league championship, the White team played every game that could have been play by a team through league games and playoffs. Both teams had players on the fall and spring season All Star Teams and Jimmi Hemmenbach, the White team captain, captured the Most Valuable Player award in both seasons.
